Civil Defense School Cadets (KASPA)
The goal of establishing the Malaysian Civil Defense School Cadet Team (Kaspa) is to shape the community, especially the students, through various voluntary activities aimed at strengthening the patriotic spirit, increasing the level of discipline and building a spirit of cooperation based on the National Education Philosophy.
Objective
- Provide first aid, fire fighting and rescue skills that students can use at any time.
- Providing voluntary services to anyone in need both at school and outside of school regardless of race, religion and belief.
- Cultivate the spirit of cooperation, responsibility, humanity, loyalty, love for school and country.
- Cultivate a spirit of respect, belonging, sacrifice and honesty with each other.
- Unearthing and nurturing the spirit (values and ethics) of leadership among students.
Membership
Registration to join the Malaysian Civil Defense School Cadet Team (Kaspa) is subject to the following conditions:
- High school students are between 13 and 18 years old.
- Healthy body (confirmation by a medical officer if required).
- Not participating in any other uniform team.
- Get parental permission and be supported by the school.
- Malaysian citizens.
- Apply by filling out the application form.
Allowance Payment
- Cadet members are not eligible to receive any allowance.
- Coordinating Teachers are eligible to receive an allowance according to the rank held as per the rates set and adopted by any Government circular.
- Counselors or Cadet Guidance Teachers are NOT eligible to claim any allowance.
Training Method
Lectures: Can be conducted by Cadet Coordinator Teachers or certified trainers.
Practical : Conducted by a certified trainer and assisted by a Cadet Coordinating Teacher.
Visits: Conducted by the Coordinating Teacher himself.
Camp : Conducted by the Cadet Coordinating Teacher or Guidance Teacher with the help of certified trainers
Field Work : Conducted by the Cadet Coordinator Teacher or Guidance Teacher.
Group Work : Carried out by the Cadet Coordinator Teacher or Guidance Teacher.
