What is the Purpose of JPAM holding a training session?
  • In order to fulfill the function and purpose of the establishment of JPAM based on Act 221 (Revision 1979) which states that in Section 3 (2)
  • Manage, establish, maintain, equip, train and discipline the civil defense forces and services.
  • Educate people about civil defense and equip them for civil defense purposes.
Who can participate in Civil Defense Training?

Civil Defense training is open to all Malaysian citizens

What type of training does JPAM provide?

The training provided includes various forms of skills aimed at providing preliminary exposure in the event of an emergency and disaster.

Among the training provided:-

  • Talk
  • Training such as LKAMK (Public Awareness Training in the Face of Emergency)
  • Establishment of a Support Team
  • Pre-School (5-6 years)
  • Early Awareness Program (PROKSPA) = Primary school (7-12 years)
  • Civil Defense Cadets (KAPA) = Secondary school (13-17 years old)
  • Civil Defense Institution Team (PISPA) = Pre-University/ Skills Institution (18-20 years old)
  • Civil Defense Student Corps (SISPA) – Higher Education Institution (20-24 years old)
  • Community/Public Sector/Private/Corporate/Industry (Open)
Where will the training/talk be held?

Civil Defense training can be carried out in Public Offices or in premises suitable for the number of participants as suggested by the applicant to facilitate the attendance of participants.

What recognition is given to participants who attend this training?

Every participant who meets the Civil Defense training requirements is eligible to be given a certificate for attending training / lectures / courses as related. However, participants from the Pre-School and Primary School groups were not provided with any certificates.

How to apply for Civil Defense training as advertised?

Applications for training can be sent to any Civil Defense District Office (PDPA) or Civil Defense State Office (PNPA) by hand, post, fax and electronic mail. Despite this, you are welcome to discuss and get further clarification from the Officer on duty regarding the training offered.
