Civil Defense Volunteers
Civilians who want to register as members of Civil Defense Volunteers, can deal at any nearby Civil Defense office. Civil Defense Volunteers are basically training civilians in dealing with disasters/operations either before, during or after war/peace. Perform rescue tasks during disasters, rescue operations and office tasks. Train as many civilians as possible on Civil Defense knowledge.
Terms of Membership

Malaysian citizens aged 18 and above

Healthy body and no physical disability
3
Academic approval of at least SRP/LCE/PMR
4
Not joining other uniformed bodies

Interested in volunteering
Member’s Benefit
- Learn how to do water rescue and how to dive (SCUBA)
- Opportunity to get certificates of skills and courses attended
- Can learn to communicate through Radio Set (Communication)
- Gain knowledge on how to manage disasters
- Learn how to operate equipment
- Learn how to dress in uniform
- Can learn the art of self-defense
- Can learn to read maps and compasses
- Be able to learn the Basics of First Aid
- Can learn how to do Rope Ascending and Descending
- Learn how to do Breathing Apparatus (BA SET)
- Gain knowledge about life endeavors
- Can learn the basics of firefighting
- Be able to learn the basics of rescue
- Get daily knowledge such as medicine for accident situations
