Saturday, 23 November 2024 – The ceremony is officiated by YB Ahmad Fahmi bin Mohamed Fadzil, Minister of Communications located in Kampung Pasir Baru, Puchong, Selangor. Also present were YAS TPj. Associate (PA) Dato’ Ismail bin Mohd Zawawi, Deputy Chief Commissioner (Management) of APM together with YS Col. (PA) Effendy bin Hj. Ali, Director of APM Federal Territory and the involvement of the residents of Kampung Pasir Baru, Puchong, Selangor.

Kampung Siaga 221 is a new initiative introduced by the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM). This initiative is an effort to strengthen the functions and roles of the APM as contained in the Civil Defence Forces Act 1951 (Act 221).

This program aims to increase community preparedness in the face of any emergency, disaster and enemy threats. This program is being implemented on a pilot and phased basis, focusing on areas exposed to disaster and emergency risks.
